I was working with a lender on a new construction jumbo loan for over 4 months and was told that everything would be perfect because of our good credit, low debt to income ratio until 29 days before closing to find out the whole loan was falling apart, but was told that a much higher interest rate will be able to get my loan approved with no problem. That almost sounds like a scam, right? I trusted this lender whole heartedly because he was a referral from my real estate agent whom I knew for a long time. I quickly called around the day I found out this bad news to get qualified for another loan while my husband decided to try to get the loan approved from the builder even though we might have to pay to extend the closing date. Out of three places that I called from what zillow recommended, Stella Croxon at Cardinal Financial was the only one who is so kind, very understanding, caring, honest and capable of working with me to help get my loan approved. On day one when I called her with what I needed, she immediately went look for a loan program that would work for me. She would call me at the end of the day to give me heads up of what was going on with my loan. She was able to help me pre-approve my loan and gather all my documents to get to underwriting within a week. She was even working on the weekend to help expedite this process for me and that was unbelievable. I did not end up closing with her because the builder has decided to cover all the expensive late closing cost for us if there is any. I emailed Stella to tell her my decision on the loan. Stella understood how important this is for a homeowner and she even called me to express her happiness for me. I have only worked with Stella for one full week, but feels like I have known her for a long time.
